I talk about good juju all the time, so when I found a GOOD JUJU BEER on the menu at the South Philly Tap Room last night I didn't have to think about a second choice.

I'm in love with this new project by the MAK Center in Los Angeles

Billboards are a dominant feature of the landscape in Los Angeles. Thousands line the city's thoroughfares, delivering high-end commercial messages to a repeat audience. Given outdoor advertising's strong presence in public space, it seems reasonable and exciting to set up the possibility for art to be present in this field. The sudden existence of artistic speech mixed in with commercial speech provides a refreshing change of pace. Commercial messaging tells you to buy; artistic messaging encourages you to look and to think.

my little nook of London

I used to work around the corner from Lamb's Conduit Street in London and nothing makes me happier than the huge growth of independent stores and cafe's and very good restaurants around there.

They're a true community that has become established there and I think the commitment they all have to something they're passionate about is very inspiring.

Monocle did a very nice little video about it a while ago and it features Marc Kennard who I knew well when I was there and gave up his very high paying job for something he just really wanted to do.

If you go to London and you're headed to the British Museum or just find yourself bopping around Holborn, you must visit.
