stink

this packaging is so good, i really do want to smell like moss...

especially as my perfume that i've worn for a good EIGHT YEARS has run out and i can't find more... it's distressing.

so it's either moss by portland general store or my old stand by, salt air by demeter.

the chips are down

hairsperation

I saw these photos of Freja Beja this weekend in British Vogue (I think) and it's making me want to chop my hair off again, even though I know it never ends up looking like this in real life. For me anyway.

I have a mop of a head of hair. Or as my good friend likes to say - a BOUF.

poise

I tried creating a polaroid lookbook for a job I had years ago.

I think they would have been just a wee bit jazzier if Jason Schwartzman was involved... Just a smidge.

These are for Band of Outsiders. Thumbs up.

I finally got some medium format film developed that has been sitting around from a trip to Paris over two years ago, along with new 35mm.

The light in them has made my day given the miserable rain right now.

hello pretty fast boy

I have a small obsession with the bikes from Fast Boy aka Ezra Caldwell. He makes a limited number of custom bikes a year. They carry a hefty price tag (close to $3k) but you can't say you don't covet it too...

He also blogs about his battle with cancer, which I've found hugely inspirational.

laser cut lightness

I love how something that seems as harsh as a laser can allow artist to create extremely delicate and ornate works.

the above is by local paper-cut artist Julene of Made By Julene and you can buy this and other pieces on etsy

Diamond Rings

I just bought myself Diamond Rings.

NOT DIAMOND RINGS SILLY!!!! I'm still poor.

Diamond Rings aka John O. The guy's dance moves are even better than mine, to which Katie and the Hottie can now attest after seeing my kick-ass, karate-like style on Saturday night.

In fact, I bought one for me and one for a gift - I'm hoping the guy selling them doesn't think I'm opening a secret record store where things are only stocked in pairs...

Anyway - I'm EXCITED. I love coloured vinyl, but not as much as I love the song:

Micachu got stuck in my HEAD

There are few songs that I would be happier to have stuck in my head for the last four days. Though at this point I am kind of looking to purge it.

It Came From Brooklyn: The Walkmen // Red Moon [Part 3 of 3] from Ray Concepcion on Vimeo.

I love these boys. And this dreamy interpretation of shooting a live set.

I seriously recommend checking out more work from Ray Concepcion

I don't care that these vintage babies' clothes from Belle Heir are more expensive than anything I buy myself. They're just toooo cute.
